17th-18th-c. sheep, covers entirely gilt decorated with fleurs-de-lys with central coat of arms and ruled with gilt roll-stamps, same decoration on the spine with raised bands, a.e.g. (scratches, spine sl. rubbed, staining on front cover).

Followed with the "De bello civili" and the works formerly attributed to Caesar, i.e. "De bello Alexandrino", "De bello Africano" and "De bello Hispaniensi". With the commentaries, in 2 col., by François Hotman - for the 1st time -, Fulvio Orsini and Paulo Manuzio. Illustrated with 11 woodcut ill. in-text placed in the beginning of the work. Printer's mark on title. With ms. marginalia in Latin and French.
