Drawing, pen, brown ink and sepia wash, 20 x 26 cm, laid paper with watermark (H.R.), pen monogrammed "C.P." (minimal foxing).
Mounted on Chinese paper, hinged, under passe-partout (not studied outside frame).
Attractive arcadian scene in the style of Van Poelenburgh (1594-1667) renown for his small-scale paintings depicting Italianate landscapes.
