Later ed. (1st 1692) of this specialist monograph on the pruning of fruit trees by the baroque gardener R. Dahuron (1660-1730). Ill. with 12 full-page engr. plates. Dahuron worked for five years in the King's garden at Versailles where he was a pupil of Jean-Baptiste de La Quintinie (1624-1688). He then entered the service of the Duke of Brunswick-Lunebourg and then that of the King of Prussia in Berlin. With a bookseller's catalogue at the end.
