Early treatise on amber by the Wittenberg physician Klobius (active 1649-1666), dealing with the characteristics and medicinal uses of amber, and its supposed origin as either bird or whale excrement. Ill. with 4 engr., i.a. a folding map of Europe, Africa, and Asia, also showing Greenland and small part of Australia.
