2 coloured etchings, 31 x 13,5 cm, velin paper, signed, titled, and numbered in pencil at bottom margin "Nostalgie, 14/100, M. Langaskens", and "Nostalgie, 45/100, M. Langaskens", signed and dated in the plate "10 mai 1915 / 26 Juin 1915".
Under frame (not studied outside frame).
In 1914, Maurice Langaskens (1884-1946) was made a P.O.W in Germany, where he stayed in the camps of Sennelager, Münsterlager (north of Hamburg) and Göttingen. Here he made numerous studies drawings and paintings. These etchings, both entitled "Nostalgie", depict fellow-prisoners longingly gazing outside the barracks of their emprisonment. One print identifies the location as "Baraque 51, Munster".
