Contemp. gilt calf, on covers central ornament within double ruled border (sl. rubbed, repairs to spine). Very good copy.
Entirely engraved love emblems with 6-line French verses calligraphed in italics or civilité (printed on rectos only). Many of the emblems were copied after those in Daniel Heinsius’ love emblems. Bound with at the end a French manuscript on paper (ca. 22,5 x 16 cm), [13] ff., written in 3 distinct hands: 9 worldly love poems (hand 1), 3 "chansons spirituelles" (hand 2), "Complainte d’un vraij amant" (hand 3).
