Later ed. (first 1670) of an extensive Dutch herbal by P. Nylandt (1635-1675). Ill. with a front. (a herbalist with his assistants) and more than 100 botanical woodcuts in-text showing the wild plants and trees of the Netherlands, but also plants found in Friesland, ranging from turban buttercup, tulip to fritillary and many other ornamental plants from country estates as forgotten vegetables as well. Also, exotic crops from Asia and the Middle East, India, Suriname and Brazil, ranging from ginger and cinnamon to sugar cane. Registers at the end (Latin and Dutch names, medicinal plants). Printed in Gothic and roman.
