Rare second Dutch edition by J. Schuym (1st 1662; orig. Venice 1615) of the ground rules of "L'idea della Architettura Universale", the standard work of Scamozzi (1548-1616), pupil of the great Palladio. Engr. ill.: front. with portrait (bound in front of volume, maybe from a later ed.), 2 unnumbered diagrams (1 folding) and 40 full-page plates showing columns and architectural details of the Five Orders.
