19th-c. half vellum, marbled paper boards, flat spine (sl. rubbed, mod. endpaper and front pastedown).
Rare first edition (?) of the events that happened between the Peace of Nijmegen and the Peace of Rijswick. Illustrated with 20 copper-plates depicting fortified cities, with a view above and plan below (Philippsburg, Nancy, Dinant, Mons, Namur, Pinarolo, Luxemburg, Kortrijk, Barcelona, etc.). Coat of arms at dedication. Approbation from the "Reformers of the University of Padua" for the publication of this book pasted on lower pastedown.
