Mod. gilt-ruled leather, flat spine, red edges. Very good copy.
Rare Froben edition of the satirical dialogue on courtly life by the German humanist Hutten (1488-1523) (1st: Augsburg 1518). With a dedication by Hutten to Heinrich Stromer, physician of the Mainz Elector, and another one to Thomas More signed by Froben (written by Beatus Rhenanus?), who published during the same month the fourth ed. of More's "Utopia" from which derived all posthumous editions. Title within one of Froben's elaborate woodcut borders. Large woodcut mark at the end.
