First edition of Faden’s adaptation of the successful 17th-c. pilot guide "Le petit flambeau de la mer". The work was issued as a response to the revolutionary upheavals in France. Many of the charts are newly engraved, with Faden's imprint. Being a successor to the business of Thomas Jefferys, he followed those in Jefferys' atlas. With an engraved frontispiece showing the Cordouan Lighthouse, 39 sheets of the coast of France and 3 folding plates of coastal profiles.
