A unique example of Mortier's reissue of the De Wit plates probably sold as a composite atlas (an atlas assembled to order) by Christopher Browne in London. The map and atlas seller Browne assembled the atlas from stock obtained from Amsterdam map sellers. After De Wit's death in 1706, his widow continued the shop until 1709 when the plates were sold to Covens and Mortier in 1710. Browne was active until 1712. This copy differs from the issues of Koeman or the Library of Congress by the choice of maps listed in the index. Besides the maps by De Wit, there are maps by Lotter, Mortier and Browne, a.o.
