Gouache and watercolour, paper 24,5 x 31 cm; signed at lower right corner (small traces of glue in central upper part, lower left corner cracked).

In gilt orn. frame (not studied outside frame).

Abstract polychrome composition. A Russian born painter and poet, Serge Charchoune (Russia 1888-France 1975) came to Paris in 1912. He became close to the Dada and the surrealist circles. From 1954, his work became more and more abstract, almost monochrome, and inspired by music.
