Memorial fête book illustrating the inauguration in Ghent of Charles VI (1685-1740), Holy Roman Emperor, as Count of Flanders in 1717. 5 large to very large folding plates picturing the solemn ceremony at St Bavo's Cathedral (by J.B. Berterham), the ceremony conducted on an elaborate stage built by J. Colin at the Vrijdagmarkt (by Berterham, after C. Eyskens), a triumphal arch (by M. Heylbrouck, after J.B. van Volxsom), fireworks in the city (by Heylbrouck) and the lighting of the city hall during the night (by J. Harrewijn). Title in red and black.
