Holy trinity.

Miniature painting, gold leaf and tempera on vellum, 24,7 x 18,2 cm (old traces of binding in the left margin, several lacunes in the figures, sm. fold at right side).

Small Spanish miniature with the Holy Trinity set against a blue Mandorla and carried by five angels. Enriched with gold leaf. Originally from a manuscript entitled "Statuts de la Confrérie de l'Archange Michel", possibly Valencia. Stylistically comparable to the representation of the Trinity in a manuscript from Valencia with the same title (Paris, Bibliothèque National, MS 4778, 1v.).
