The beheading of a young saint by a bearded man (Saint Paul?) with a large sword. The two central figures are surrounded by men and women standing around the scene. A male figure with a rope on the right foreground can be seen leaning forward, next to a statue of a man (Jupiter throwing lightning bolts?). The cloudy sky opens up with putti and seraphins.
