Folio: 12 pp., Japan paper; 15 etchings and drypoints, wove paper, plate signed, pencil signed, numb. "A/1" to "A/15", stamp signed on verso.
Hinged at upper edges, under tissue guards and Japan paper passe-partouts (few sm. creases on edges). Three-quarter gilt-ruled black shagreen folder signed L. Peeters, Antwerpen with gold-st. title on front cover (inside sl. foxed). Box.
Complete set incl. colophon, introduction by Louis Lebeer, index and 15 prints produced and hand-printed by Dirk Baksteen (1886-1971). The publication was dedicated to Astrid of Sweden (1905-1935), Queen of the Belgians, who died in a car accident in 1935. Limited ed. of 25 numb. copies, 1 of 3 deluxe copies numb. A-C. Our copy is copy A, printed for King Leopold III. An exceptional set in excellent condition.
