Major geographical and astronomical work by Apian edited and enlarged by Gemma Frisius, with some additional treatises of Frisius (i.a. the "De locorum describendorum ratione" on using triangulation for correct cartographic calculations, and with some chapters posthumously added by his oldest son Cornelius Gemma). This version of the Cosmographia became one of the most popular books on the subject of the time.
