Series of 15 coloured woodcuts by Defert (1878-1972), French engraver, who worked in Laos (which was a part of French Indochina at the time). With an introduction by Henry Daguerches (pseudonym of Charles Valat), militarian and writer. Issued in 175 copies, on bamboo paper, with justification (n. 2, signed by the artist).
