Second Italian edition by the mathematician and cartographer Girolamo Ruscelli (1518-1566). Illustrated with 64 copper-engr. double-page maps, identical to those of the Italian edition of 1561 and Latin ed. of 1562, and with woodcut diagrams or ill. (some full-page). The 2nd part contains the commentary of Ruscelli on Ptolemy's Geography; the 3rd is composed of the work by the Italian mathematician Giuseppe Moletti (1531-1588) on geography. Printer's mark on title and on reverse of last map.
