Lot description
Nuremberg, Paul Raymund [i.e. Reimund], 18th c
Gilt block-printed on blue paper, 35,5 x 42 cm, imprint + "N° 40" carved at bottom (vertical middle fold, some oxidation spots). Good condition.
With ca. 50 designs of people (no repetitions) on 8 rows each with several scenes of trade and daily activities including scenes relating to the book world (printer, bookbinder, compositor), and other occupations as a baker baking bread, cooper, bell founder, carpenter, hunter, painter, washerwoman, tanner, etc. Printed by Paul Reimund (Nuremberg, fl. 1783-1815).
