Student course of "Dialectica" at the Gymnasium SS. Trinitatis ("Drievuldigheidscollege") of Leuven University.

1701-August 1703

4to (ca. 22 x 16,5 cm), title + [108] ff. (stamped foliation), on paper, in Latin (blank bottom part of title torn off).

Contemp. sheep, gilt spine with 5 raised bands (worn, front cover loose). In good condition.

Early Leuven philosophy course, written by the Antwerp student Joannes Josephus Peters. The course was taught by Joannes Corbion ("Leodius").
Illustration: title drawing (painter at easel); pen drawn initials and decorative headings; 10 large drawings, i.a. Atlas, tree of logic, Bacchus, caterpillars and butterfly, dancing farmers, University Hall (?) and Baucis & Philemon, a crocodile, a "Wildeman", and more pendrawings.
