Gilt modern vellum by L[aurent] Peeters, Antwerp, in the manner of 17th-c. binding, flat spine, modern flyleaves, a.e.g.

Rare original edition of this collection of emblems published on the occasion of the monastic jubilee of Susanne 't Seraets, written by an anonymous Jesuit "I. P.", and illustrated with a mark on title, the coat of arms of the jubilee and 13 engr. emblems, by Fr. Bouttats, finely heightened in gold and silver and with very fresh colours. With wide margins.
