Aquarelle and oil on paper, 20 x 25,5 cm, signed at lower right corner "Hte d'Orschwillier".
Stuck by edges under passe-partout.
Satirical scene with three clothed monkeys preparing a dinner in a shabby interior. Hippolyte de Boug d'Orschwiller (1810-1868) was specialised in "singerie", which originated in Flemish genre painting in the circles around Teniers. In very good condition.
