Concentrating on modern-day Iran, the ill. show agriculture, society (princes, rich and poor people, merchants, beggars...), various tribes, commerce and industry (opium, tapestry), major cities, art, arms, instruments... D'Allemagne (France 1863-1950) is more known for his books on games (cards) and applied arts.
