Rare first and only edition of Burggraeve's (1806-1902) work on medical bandages and splints. Ill. with 12 (of 20) lithographed pl. by F. Van Loo showing various arm, leg and pelvic splints, stretch bandages etc. Burggraeve was specialised in orthopedic surgery, he was Professor of Anatomy and Chief surgeon at De Bijloke hospital in Ghent. With list of subscribers, only 87 names.
