Rare album (complete ? lacking title or justification ?) on Japan paper containing a French short introductory text by Paul Lambotte, 6 poems by the English poet Laurence Binyon (1869-1943) illustrated with col. woodcuts in text and 6 large col. woodcuts in Japanese style, signed in pencil by Brangwyn and Urushibara, with his red stamp in lower left corners. Beautiful plates representing various Bruges places. The 1st collaboration of Brangwyn and the Japanese artist Yoshijiro Urushibara, also known as Mokuchu. Between 1908 and 1934 Urushibara divided his time between Paris and London, worked with a number of British artists, making woodblocks from their drawings and watercolours. Cover and portfolio ill. in black. Aut. signed dedication of Brangwyn dated 1919 to Paul Lambotte on cover.
