Lot description

27 x 19 cm, signed "C. Galle" (some sl. scratches and sm. stains). Good condition.
Probably made by C. Galle the Elder (1576-1650). Sitting at the foot of a tree, Joseph holds a bouquet of lilies. Jesus is standing on Joseph's knees and puts a crown of flowers on his father's head. At the bottom, a caption: "Flos campi et lilium convallium" (Song of Songs 2:1).
