Student's edition of a course on geometry, and related subjects, by the Jesuit Tacquet (1612-1660) for use in Latin schools and universities in the Veneto. With a historic survey of mathematics. Ill. with 17 folding engr. plates with numerous diagrams. A former owner cut the plates and put them in front of the text. The "Tipografia del Seminario" was established in 1684 by the will of Cardinal Gregorio Barbarigo, Bishop of Padua, and became one of the most important publishing houses of the Republic of Venice.
