Hand painted scroll, 31 x 885 cm (inner painting 31 x 876 cm), ink and colour on paper (small pieces of illustrated parts missing at beginning and end, few wormholes, stains, kinks)
Life in Edo Japan (anonymous artist). Charming and vibrant illustrations of funny and lively scenes, including a wedding procession, a traveller and a scuffle. The figures measure about 11 cm.
