Old vellum (reused, endpapers renewed), flat ink titled spine.
Later edition of the Dutch adaptation of the famous work on midwifery "Der Swangern Frauen und Hebammen Rosengarten" (1513) by the German physician Rösslin (1470?-1526). This Dutch text was first published and translated by Thomas vander Noot, Brussels 1516. Ill. with a woodcut on title and 20 woodcuts in-text. Very important textbook for midwifes, surviving 40 editions, being used as late as 1730. Complete with the appendix at the end. Printed in gothic type.
