1. Kôno Bairei (1844-1895) - Bairei hyakuchô gafu [Bairei’s Album of One Hundred Birds]. Publisher: Kineido (Tokyo) and Okura Magobei (Kyoto), Meiji 14 [1881]. Vol. 10. Ink and colour on paper, Japanese book binding. Fine wood block prints of birds in their natural habitat among flowers and plants. Each bird is identified in Japanese and each plate has the artist’s seal.-- 2. Katsushika Taitô II - Kachô gaden [Pictures of flowers and birds]. Publisher: Sûzanbo, 1848. Ink and colour on paper (overall good printing, cover with creases). Katsushika Taitô was Hokusais pupil and ceded the name Taitô in 1819.
