Leaf (cut to ca. 20,3 x 13,7 cm) from a Latin manuscript on vellum.

In reasonably good condition, since it was cut to fit in a binding, with loss of text, traces of glue, and some staining.

Nice elegantly written early fragment of the elaborate Bible commentary by the German Benedictine monk Haymo of Halberstadt (d. 853). Large (8-line) initial "G" on a red and blue background.
