Contemp. overl. vellum, flat spine (soiled, warping, spine def., front joint splitting). Good copy.
Rare collection of (mostly) satirical poems and prose texts by the Brussels lawyer Van der Borcht (1622-1668). The moralizing text, inspired by i.a. E. Puteanus and C. Huygens, describes a dream about a magic mirror showing the sins of contemporary society. Engraved frontispiece, full-page engraved portrait of the author by P. de Backer, 3 half-page engravings in text.
