Augsburg, c. 1520
Etching, 22,5 x 15,4 cm, laid paper, monogrammed DH (sl. toned, sl. worn, trimmed to edges with sl. loss of image at left edge).
Stuck under glass and metal frame (not studied outside frame).
Profile bust of the Roman Emperor Galba in a medaillion with Latin text: "Ser.Galba. Imp. Caesaug." Framed in all corners by grotesques and mythological fantasy creatures. This print belongs to a set of two portrait medallions, of which the other depicts Nero.
