Folio: 43 hinge-mounted pl. (numbered 1 to 42bis), very partially coloured (waterstains, particularly on pl. 4, 12, 25, some foxing).

Contemp. half calf, gilt spine, paper covers (us.).

Second edition of Vandermaelen's homage to Ferraris, published shortly after the Belgian independence. With original Ferraris orthography ("Montenack" pl. 22) and with lithographed addition beyond the border of pl. 1. The atlas comprises: the "carte d'assemblage" with title and legend and 42 detailed maps, including the city plans of Brussels, Antwerp, Ghent, Namur, Mons and Liège.

Bound with: Nouvelle carte de la Hollande, d'après Krayenhoff et les meilleures cartes connues - 24 feuilles. 24 hinge-mounted pl., partially coloured (some dampstains, some foxing). Brussels, Etablissement Géographique, [1820-1830]. Atlas of the Netherlands comprising a "carte d'assemblage" with title and legend, the triangulation network and positioning (pl. 5), 22 maps of the Netherlands, including a detailed plan of Amsterdam. This map was the result of a large land surveying effort by the "Topografisch Bureau", founded by Krayenhoff and others.
