Interesting set on the Second Anglo-Boer War which took place from 1899-1902. The stereographic images are produced by the American based Underwood and Underwood Publishing Group. The photographers of U & U stayed away from conflict zones but still captured other military related activity. Underwood and Underwood was founded by two brothers in Ottawa, Kansas in 1882. They were the inventors of the "canvassing" sales approach, selling successfully from door-to-door. Each stereoscopic view with printed caption under the picture and on verso (different languages).
