Oblong album with 30 drawings in pencil.

Mod. black cardboard, sheets separated by rice paper, signed and titled on cover "Jean Siénon, Croquis de Voyages".

Jean Stiénon was a Belgian architect who was particularly known for designing colonial architecture in Belgian Congo and archeological excavations in Egypt during the 1930s and 1940s. He was also involved in designing some of the Congolese pavilions at the Brussels World Exhibition in 1958. The album is a unique and personal document made during the architect's travels i.a. in Nivelles, Brussels, Mechelen, Ghent, Villers-la-ville, Bourges, Aigues-Mortes, the monastery of St. Trophime of Arles. The album also contains 2 orig. photographs of Stiénon in Africa. Most drawings are dated, located and signed or monogrammed.
