Contemp. vellum (vellum detached from cardboard). A used and not very fresh copy.
Complete first edition of this splendidly illustrated early account of Asia, including Persia and Georgia. The 1st part covers the empire of the "Great Mogol" (Central Asia and Northern India), the 2nd part Iran, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Iraq, Dagestan, etc. All parts deal with the topography, religion, mythology, languages and politics of various regions.
