Contemp. calf, gold-stamped covers, spine with 4 raised bands, mod. red leather title label (bit worn).

Later edition (1st 1620) and first Dutch edition of this emblematical work by the French Jesuit Antonius Sucquet (1574-1627), in Dutch translation by Gerard Zoes (1579-1628). Ill. with an engraved title and 32 different engr. by Boëtius A. Bolswert.
