19th-c. gilt green morocco, covers with double gilt ruled border, richly gilt spine on 5 raised bands, gilt sides, gilt inside dentelles, marbl. endpapers. Very good copy.
Very rare Antwerp ed. of the French trsl. (1st Paris 1546) of the Spanish chivalric novel “Palmerín de Oliva” (Salamanca 1511). This was one of the books against which Cervantes inveighs as responsible for the mental condition of Don Quixote. 37 woodcuts in text. Printed in 2 cols. Title within elaborate woodcut border. Ref.
