Extr. rare editio princeps of the "Bible Canon" of the Ecumenical Patriarch Nikephoros I of Constantinople (758-828), together with its 1st Latin translation by the Vatican Librarian Anastasius (810-878). The French humanist lawyer Pierre Pithou (1539-1596) also added an essay on patristic Bible translation. Ref. Pettegree FB 83017. - Cp.
