Cont. gold-tooled marbled calf, covers with gilt ornamental border and corner pieces, central frame with leather darkened and richly gilt border, gilt spine on 4 raised bands, a.e.g. (tooled), decorative endpapers (tail def.). In good condition.

"Stammbuch" of the 20-year old Halle student Fabian (Schönebeck 9.4.1770 - Halle S. 21.6.1848), later "Kgl. pr. Hofrat" and "Geh. Rechnungsrat". Inscriptions of friends and relatives, mainly from Halle (23) or Schönebeck (6). Typed description loosely inserted.
