Cont. calf, gilt spine on 7 raised bands, gilt titled, title label (sl. worn).

Fourth ed. of this iconographic publication showing castles and monasteries of Brabant, divided in 4 parts. Ill.: nice front. by A. van Diepenbeeck, identical to the front. of previous eds, 173 engr. pls of which 4 engr. maps (Brabant, Antwerp, Brussels) & double or folding, and some 151 views of castles, each with coat-of-arms of the landowner, some monuments; 18 double-paged engravings (including a bird's-eye view on Turnhout, the castle of Elewijt, the castle of Boechout and the spire of St Rumbolt in Mechelen by W. Hollar); In comparison to previous eds, this one is characterized by the transfer of some plates and by some alterations or additions of views. Ref. BB III-851/852. - STCV. Prov.
