1st posthumous printing of 20 drawings from the "Note-Books" of the artist in the possession of Ezra Pound. H. Gaudier-Brzeska (1891-1915) was a French artist and sculptor. In 1911, he settled in England and "fell in with the Vorticism movement of Ezra Pound and Wyndham Lewis, becoming a founding member of the London Group" (Wikipedia); he was killed in battle in France in June 1915. Edition limited to 250 copies on thin Japan paper (n. 192). 1st f. illustrated with a small woodcut by Edward Wadsworth. The Ovid Press, a private press founded by John Rodker (1894-1955), flourished c. 1919-1922 but published several central figures of modernist literature or art as T.S. Eliot, J. Joyce, W. Lewis, E.
