18th-c. overl. vellum, blind orn. covers, flat spine with red leather label, red edges (scratch on front cover, lower cover sl. rubbed).
Translation from the Greek of Isocrates' Helen by Joannes Petrus Lucensis, professor of "belles lettres" in Lucca. The Herodotus is a reprint "frequently page-for-page", of De Gregoriis' 1494 edition. The letter of Mancinellus to Nicolaus Rubeus is at the end in our edition. Roman type.
