Good wide-margined copy of the oration to Innocent VIII by the humanist writer and Florentine Chancellor B. Scala (1430-1497), protégé of Cosimo and Piero de' Medici. The speech was delivered on 15 December 1484, winning Scala a knighthood from the newly elected pope, and was publ. in at least 6 editions 1484-1490 (4 Rome, 1 Florence, 1 Venice).
