First edition of the "Voyage pittoresque" and the following due to the success of the first work "Châteaux et monumens" and first issue of the plates. The "Voyage pittoresque" is illustrated (complete) with 202 lithogr. plates a.o. by Jean-Baptiste Madou, after the drawings of Otto van der Howen, B. Mary, T. Hubert, A. de Marbaix, etc. featuring city views, monuments, landscapes, castles and so on, in Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. Also complete with the 2 lithogr. titles by H.A Kreins and the fold. map with coloured borders but with the portrait of the Princess of Orange by Prevost missing. Enriched in vol. I with a plate "Petite ville de Walcourt" (n. 34).
The "Châteaux et monumens" is also complete with 205 lithogr. plates, published in 34 issues between 1825 and 1830, by Madou, Kreins, De Pellaert, Pringret, General von der Howen, A. de Marbaix, Lemaître... figuring many castles in Belgium, Netherlands (and also some views of Luxembourg), sometimes with the owner's name, monuments, churches, abbeys, landscapes... The 2 lithogr. titles present. Enriched with portrait of the Princess of Orange by Prevost.
