Black ink, white gouache, c. 15,5 x 10,8 cm, cardboard "Bristol", all ink signed, 1 dated 1881 (sl. soiled and toned margins).

Complete set of original drawings commissioned for the illustration of the 1882 ed. of Beaumarchais' "Le Barbier de Seville" (Paris, Jouaust/Librairie des bibliophiles, 1882). Arcos (Santiago 1865-1912) was a genre painter, portraitist, watercolourist, illustrator and etcher.
