Contemp. limp vellum by the Doves Bindery, flat spine titled in gilt. Mod. white cardboard slipcase. Very good copy.

Early highlight of the Doves Press (founded in 1900), and 2nd volume of Milton printed by the Press, after "Paradise lost" in 1902. Ed. limited to 300 copies on paper, 25 on vellum. 1 of 300 on paper. Printed in red and black. This is the first Doves Press book in which Greek type was used.
